Centre for Community Development (C4CD) is a volunteer led non-governmental organization committed to offering disadvantaged young citizens opportunities to fulfill their potential and take control of their own lives. We are a Nigeria based charity devoted to research , raising awareness and initiating projects aimed at combating poverty and reducing inequalities in health, agriculture , education and community development in Nigeria particularly in Akwa Ibom State and the surrounding areas of the (Niger-Delta) South-South geo-political zone.

Our C4CD Global Network office in London is responsible for linking British organizations and other international development agencies with those in Nigeria; monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure their effectiveness, good practice and sustainability.

We provide information, guidance and advice to young people with ‘can do’ attitude. These people in their own turn mobilize other volunteers within their own communities and across the major institutions of the society—working to make fundamental life chances available to all through cultural and educational practice exchange. We aim to connect the most excluded young men and women within the corridors of power. We are a unique kind of engine for social change—led by people for people.

With the emerging challenges of the 21st century and the growing information technologies, we now have a firm strategy in place that gives us a good cause for optimism going forward.
